Belton Sutherland
Belton Sutherland, an unknown Mississippi bluesman--a master musician who appeared duringan Alan Lomax's session with another singer and was asked to "try" an improvised blues on Clyde Maxwell's porch.Boy! Did he try it! Kind of a cross between Skip James and Robert Johnson!

Fantastic stuff. I just acquired the Land Where the Blue Began DVD. Loads of great stuff on there. The "vintage" late 70s performances by Jack Owens & Bud Spires alone are worth it. And Belton Sutherland? Wow, too bad we don't have any more recordings by him. John Sturm
